Nketiah Ready To Start For Crystal Palace But Chalobah Debut Delayed

Nketiah 'ready to start' for Crystal Palace but Chalobah debut delayed

Crystal Palace forward Eddie Nketiah is reportedly 'ready to start' for the Eagles against Brentford on Saturday, while Trevoh Chalobah's debut for the club has been delayed.

Nketiah, who joined Palace on loan from Arsenal in January, has made two substitute appearances for the club so far.

However, he is now in line to make his full debut against Brentford, with manager Roy Hodgson confirming that the striker is "ready to start".

Meanwhile, Chalobah's debut has been delayed after the defender suffered a knock in training.

The on-loan Chelsea player was expected to make his debut for Palace against Brentford, but he will now miss the game.

Hodgson said: "Trevoh has picked up a knock in training, so he won't be available for the Brentford game."

"It's a shame, but it's nothing too serious and we expect him to be back in training next week."

Palace will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to Burnley last weekend when they face Brentford on Saturday.

The Eagles are currently 13th in the Premier League table, while Brentford are 14th.
