The issue, known as the Msftconnecttest redirect error, has been attributed to the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) feature, which runs system tests to verify internet access. The error occurs when the NCSI detects connectivity problems and triggers a redirect to a webpage, causing internet connectivity to be disrupted.
