Broncos Vs Panthers Super Bowl

Von Miller's Fumbles Force Panthers into Early Hole

Broncos Defense Stifles Cam Newton in Super Bowl 50 Victory

Denver Earns First Super Bowl Win Since 2016

Von Miller's two forced fumbles set up Denver's first two touchdowns, and the Broncos defense frustrated Cam Newton all game to lead Peyton Manning to a 24-10 victory in Super Bowl 50.

The Broncos took an early lead when Miller forced a fumble from Newton that was recovered by T.J. Ward. Manning then led the Broncos on a touchdown drive, culminating in a 2-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas.

Miller struck again in the second quarter, forcing a fumble from Newton that was recovered by DeMarcus Ware. This time, Manning connected with Emmanuel Sanders for a 1-yard touchdown pass to give the Broncos a 14-0 lead.

The Panthers finally got on the board in the third quarter with a 39-yard field goal from Graham Gano. But the Broncos defense continued to dominate, holding Newton to just 215 passing yards and intercepting him once.

Manning added a 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos a 24-3 lead. Gano added another field goal for the Panthers late in the game, but it was too little, too late.

With the win, the Broncos earned their first Super Bowl victory since 2016. Manning was named the game's Most Valuable Player after completing 13 of 23 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
